Breakfast in Bed

Today Christopher woke up happy, with a huge smile on his face.  I woke up shortly after to the sounds of him cooing in my ear (and to the kicking of his feet!).  My little boy always wakes up happy, all three months of his life I have never had to wake up to the sound of cries.

I would like to blame my son's mild temperament on the co- sleeping and the breastfeeding.  Every night before we go to sleep, he snuggles next to mama and nurses.  This is how we fall asleep every night.  We wake up every morning this way as well.  We wake up, and then nurse.  Christopher is the luckiest baby in the world.  Not only does he have parents that love and care for him, not only does he get to cuddle up next to his mama every single night, not only does my little one remain intact and wears the cutest fluffiest cloth diapers in the world.   My little guy  also gets breakfast in bed every morning.  Wouldn't you be happy if you got breakfast in bed every morning too?  I know I would.

I love breastfeeding and I'm so happy to have such  a great breastfeeding relationship with my son.  I know it is what's best for him, and it's best for me as well.  I don't have to get out of bed first thing in the morning to a screaming hungry baby demanding a bottle...  I get to lay in bed with my beautiful children and nurse my baby boy.
